For decades, Santa Cruz Guitar Company has been renowned for its perfect balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation. The PJ is based on the classic parlor format that was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. While these small guitars were originally valued for their portability and affordability, Santa Cruz has transformed the concept into a serious instrument for the discerning player. The compact body encourages an intimate playing style and produces a surprisingly balanced and detailed sound.

The combination of a cocobolo body with a Sitka spruce top results in a warm, complex tone with excellent projection. This Santa Cruz has undergone some repairs. A crack in the center seam behind the bridge was repaired, and three cleats were added on the inside. The lacquer around this repair was also addressed, but unfortunately, the finish isn't completely restored to its original state. However, this doesn't detract from its playability or sound. Furthermore, it has light playwear on the body and neck. Nevertheless, it looks very clean and is in excellent condition. It comes in a case with a TFOA passport.
