Novo Serus J Baritone Maroon Burst

The Novo Serus J has become a popular alternative to the classic Jazzmaster, and now Novo takes it a step further with this Baritone edition. Equipped with two Lollar Mini-Broilers, this guitar delivers chime, punch, and clarity in a lower register—making it the perfect tool for players seeking a fresh sonic palette with familiar offset comfort.

Masterfully designed by the renowned Dennis Fano and built by the skilled team in Nashville, this Novo Serus J Baritone is in a class of its own.

Like the Serus P2, the Serus J features a comfortably contoured body, but adds a nod to the Jazzmaster with a Mastery bridge and vibrato for superb tuning stability and expression. Cloaked in an aged Maroon Burst finish with a tortoise pickguard, it’s visually striking and oozes vintage charm.

As a baritone, it boasts a 28" scale length and comes strung with 14–68 gauge strings, ideal for lower tunings with plenty of tension and clarity. The Lollar Mini-Broiler pickups are articulate and punchy, offering tight low-end definition and rich tonal character that complements the extended range.

Both the body and neck are tempered—also known as roasted or torrefied—enhancing the instrument's resonance and giving it a naturally aged appearance. The result is a guitar with vintage soul, modern reliability, and inspiring playability.

Comes in a gig bag with TFOA passport.
