Gretsch G6136TG 58 Limited Edition 1958 Custom Falcon Emerald Night

The Eagle has landed! The Limited Edition 1958 Custom Falcon offers an alluring take on a classic Gretsch design. Featuring the dark and mysterious Emerald Night metallic finish, this Falcon combines period-accurate features with some modern twists thrown in.

A maple body with Trestle Bracing and TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron pickups provide all the twang, growl, and power you need to cut through the mix, making this rare bird a formidable companion as you embark on your adventures.

Originally introduced in 1958, and further refined in 1959, Trestle Bracing utilizes two bridge-shaped struts that span the length of the top and connect to the back of the guitar via four ‘feet’. This bracing system results in added snap and faster note attack, improved sustain, and excellent feedback rejection, all while retaining the fundamental hollow nature of the instrument.

The Full-Fidelity Filter'Tron Pickups produce a tighter bass response and slightly more top end than modern Filter’Tron pickups, and the absence of wax potting results in a more open, three-dimensional sound with truly unique sparkle and exceptional dynamics.

If David Attenborough would know guitars he would say: this rare bird is a sight to behold and a formidable instrument.
