For fans of expressive tone and pure playing experience, this is a guitar with history. The Epiphone Jeff Beck Oxblood 1954 Les Paul puts the iconic instrument of one of the greatest guitarists of all time within reach.
The Epiphone Jeff Beck Oxblood 1954 Les Paul pays tribute to one of the most influential guitarists of all time. Jeff Beck was known for his exceptional sense of tone, finesse, and genre-defying playing style. From his time with the Yardbirds to his legendary solo work, Beck left a lasting impression on the guitar world. He was a pioneer of feedback, fuzz, and expressive tonal colors, won eight GRAMMY Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
The Oxblood, Beck’s iconic and heavily customized 1954 Les Paul with its unique dark brown finish, became world famous on the album Blow by Blow. In collaboration with Gibson Custom, Epiphone now releases a high-quality replica that does justice to this legendary instrument. The guitar is built with a mahogany body and maple top, a one-piece mahogany neck with long tenon, and a Jeff Beck Custom Large C profile. The fingerboard is made of rosewood, with 22 medium jumbo frets and aged mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays.
The electronics are two USA Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with 50s-style wiring, CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors. Other details such as the Speed knobs, the Les Paul open-spaced pickguard design and a Gibson Historic Wraparound bridge have been accurately reproduced. The guitar comes in an Epiphone case with ‘Inspired by Gibson Custom’ print and a vintage-style carrying strap. This limited edition is a unique opportunity for any guitarist or collector who wants to pay tribute to a musical icon and his famous instrument.
