In collaboration with Gibson Custom, Epiphone now releases a high-quality replica that does justice to this legendary instrument. The guitar is built with a mahogany body and maple top, a one-piece mahogany neck with long tenon, and a Jeff Beck Custom Large C profile. The fingerboard is made of rosewood, with 22 medium jumbo frets and aged mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays.
The electronics are two USA Gibson Custombucker humbuckers with 50s-style wiring, CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors. Other details such as the Speed knobs, the Les Paul open-spaced pickguard design and a Gibson Historic Wraparound bridge have been accurately reproduced. The guitar comes in an Epiphone case with ‘Inspired by Gibson Custom’ print and a vintage-style carrying strap.
