It is handmade using traditional methods and the best materials. This single cut guitar features a 1-piece okoumé body with a solid maple top, a lovely-feeling 1-piece C-shaped okoumé neck and an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays.
This SB59 features Eastman's shellac which is applied by hand. This gives the instrument a great vintage look that also lets the wood breathe. This varnish, combined with Eastman's intriguing black aged finish, creates arguably the most beautiful guitar they've ever made.
