Bourgeois LDBO 12 Custom Sinker Mahogany #11027

Bourgeois builds guitars of the highest quality, and proves this with this refined 12-fret LDBO, featuring a Sinker mahogany back and sides with particularly stylish embellishments!

The LDBO is larger than an 00, slightly smaller than the 000/OM, and designed with a 25-inch scale neck. Its relatively narrow top gives it a distinctive wedge shape, distinguishing it from the 0/00/000 models. More importantly, the LDBO has two secret weapons: an unusually large sound hole for its size and narrow, 1/4-inch-thick top bracing. This combination creates unusual power and presence in such a small instrument.

"After a lifetime of playing Dreadnoughts, the L-DBO has become my favorite guitar," says founder Dana Bourgeois. "Close your eyes and listen to Sierra Hull or Courtney Hartman play an LDBO with a microphone. You'd be forgiven for thinking it's a much larger guitar."

This Custom LDBO features Sinker mahogany back and sides with koa binding and ornate herringbone purfling. Additionally, the Aged Tone Adirondack spruce top, along with the bracing and finish, creates a vintage look and tone! The Aged Tone treatment gives you a played-in tone and gives the player the benefit of the Adirondack's broad dynamic range, but with the nuance and warmth typically only achieved through years of playing.

But it's not just stylish; it's also highly capable. It offers everything a fingerstyle player could dream of: a perfectly balanced tone that ranges from tight, rounded bass to crystal-clear highs. And if you try strumming a bit, its loud tone will surely surprise you!
