This FTC model from Santa Cruz can be described in just one word: Wow!

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Santa Cruz Guitar Company, Richard decided to bring a favorite older model back into production for a limited run of twelve guitars in 2016. Due to the wonderful response, the FTC model returned to the SCGC catalog as a standard model in 2017.

The FTC model is truly something special. It has a jumbo-sized body, but without the deep body. So it's a big guitar, that is compact and easy to play at the same time. It has a carved flamed maple back and flat top made out of German spruce. It produces a wonderful balanced tone. For a maple-bodied guitar, it already sounds surprisingly full and warm. It delivers crystal clear tones when you play fingestyle and when you start strumming, it can get loud! The cutaway is the finishing touch which makes this FTC a definite winner in terms of versatility.

And the luthiers at Santa Cruz are not only masters in creating a wonderful sounding guitar, it also looks amazing! The sunburst finish looks absolutely gorgeous and with luxurious details such as the Deco fingerboard inlay, it is also a feast for the eyes.
