National Raw Tricone Steel
Not to long ago National introduced their new National Reso-Phonic “RAW” series! These bare-bones resonators are hand waxed with minimal finish and available in both steel and brass.
But don't be fooled by the understated, raw appearance; these instruments are built with the same attention to detail we've come to expect from National. Designed for the musician seeking a raw, raspy sound and style!
Raw Series instruments have a minimal wax finish, giving them a naturally smooth feel and allowing them to patina over time. They are expertly handcrafted in National's California workshop to the high-quality standards upon which their reputation is built.
The steel body is plated and then aged to a patina, resulting in a unique vintage look. Each instrument is individually hand-finished, so no two instruments are exactly alike, making each a unique work of art. The maple neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard and a 1930s pinhead with vintage-style tuners.
Dreaming of a vintage National Tricone with that well-traveled, beloved look, but without the problems that come with ninety years of making music? The National Steel Tricone has pure old-school mojo with a sweet tone, but plays like new!
