Introduced in 1976 and rated as one of the most iconic bass guitars in history, the StingRay was the first four-string production bass with built-in active EQ. The Stingray 5 was subsequently unveiled in 1987 and has been an industry standard for bass guitars ever since.

The flagship of Music Man's range, the StingRay has the same features it had some forty years ago. The solid roadworthy body with the iconic oval pickguard and ever-popular Music Man Humbucker provides a look, feel and sound that is unmistakable! The sculpted neck joint provides uninhibited access to all 22 stainless steel frets on the toasted maple neck. The improved body contours are rounded for greater comfort in any playing position, while retaining the iconic StingRay sound. 

The new and improved pickup features powerful neodymium magnets, giving the StingRay more output and a wider range of sounds. With a newly designed 18-volt 3-band preamp for extra clean headroom, you are capable of everything; from modern punch to classic, vintage tones. 

This StingRay Special 5 is finished in spectacular Jackpot finish and comes with TFOA passport in a Mono Softshell case.
