The Luke series was developed in close collaboration with guitarist Steve Lukather and made its debut in 1993. The model combines the best features of classic guitar designs with Music Man’s modern innovations. The Ball Family Reserve (BFR) line represents the most exclusive instruments produced by Music Man, featuring unique finishes and specifications not found in the regular production line.

This 2007 Blue Berry Burst is a perfect example, showcasing a striking finish that was rarely used on this model. The combination of an alder body with a maple top provides an excellent balance between warmth and clarity. The maple neck with a V-profile feels comfortable in the hand and offers stable support while playing.

The guitar is equipped with replacement Seymour Duncan pickups in an H-S-S configuration, which, together with the five-way switch, offers access to a wide range of tones, from warm humbucker sounds to bright single-coil clarity.
