Martin D35 Lefty 1975
With a dreadnought body, an Indian rosewood back and sides, and a Sitka spruce top, this left-handed D35 is a guitar that feels familiar!
The Martin D35 traces its origins back to 1965, when Martin swapped the two-piece back for a three-piece one due to the small size of the available rosewood parts. Featuring this distinctive characteristic, the D35 found a place between the iconic D28 and the more decorated guitars such as the D41 and D45.
This guitar begs to be played, as the mahogany neck features a comfortable 'soft V' profile and is a joy to play. Furthermore, the guitar features an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and possesses the sound that makes Martin so beloved among guitarists: warm, full, and defined with more than enough volume.
This 1975 Martin D35 is in very good condition. Playing marks and dings can be found on the top and neck, along with a few small cracks in the binding. The pickguard crack, well-known for Martin, has been repaired, and the pickguard has also been replaced. The guitar has also undergone a neck reset, during which a shim was placed under the neck end. Furthermore, the bridge and saddle have been replaced, and the rosewood bridge plate has been repaired. After all, the guitar once had a built-in pickup as well, but it has since been removed.
The guitar comes with a TFOA passport in the original Martin hardshell case.
