The detailing of Martin Custom Shop guitars is of the highest level, and the feel of playing a Custom Martin is simply irreplaceable. This 00028 perfectly reflects the beauty and quality of the Custom Shop.

The body is constructed from cocobolo on the sides and back, a wood known for its warm, rich character and strong projection. Combined with the Adirondack spruce top, this creates an open and dynamic sound, featuring a solid bass, clear midtones, and a bright, sparkling high end. The response is direct and controlled, allowing both subtle fingerstyle playing and more powerful work to come into their own effortlessly.

This 2018 Martin Custom Shop 000 was built for that year's NAMM, and the guitar is in excellent condition. There are a few very small dings on the top between the pickguard and the shoulder on the treble side, and some scratches can be found in the finish on the back of the body. Furthermore, the lacquer on the back of the neck has become shiny from playing, but otherwise the guitar looks very clean.
