Manuel Adalid Cathedral X Anniversary Cedar B-Stock
With their flawless finish, smooth playability and breathtaking sound, Manuel Adalid's guitars are a musical companion for life!
Manuel Adalid, a renowned Spanish luthier, grew up in a family of luthiers, with his father, Manuel Adalid Lázaro, as well as Francisco Esteve Calatayud and Antonio Monfort, as his teachers in the craft. Through his lifelong passion for the craft, Adalid has become a respected figure in the world of guitar making, leaving a lasting impact on the field.
La Catedral is the top model from Manuel Adalid's range, and is named after the song of the same name by the Paraguayan classical guitar virtuoso and composer Agustín Barrios. The guitar is distinguished by a pronounced and clear sound, sustain and extraordinary harmonic complexity.
Adalid has built the Catedral to the highest standard imaginable, using a number of interesting construction methods. The guitar features a double cedar top that is finished in French Polish. This allows the wood to vibrate freely, giving the guitar a wide range of frequencies with strong projection.
The back and sides are made of beautifully drawn Madagascar rosewood, with the back also being built with a double construction. The back and sides are finished with Nitrocellulose, a high-quality finish that increases durability without sacrificing tone or resonance. With their flawless finish, smooth playability and breathtaking sound, Manuel Adalid's guitars are a musical companion for life!
This Cathedral X had playwear on the top, so we gave the top a completely new shellac finish. Unfortunately, some blemishes are still visible under the finish, so the guitar is now B-Stock.
