Iris Guitars, based in Burlington, Vermont, was founded in 2018 under the auspices of Circle Strings. Iris works with a team of passionate guitar enthusiasts who, under the guidance of experienced luthiers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks, build modern guitars with a vintage sound and look.

Iris guitars benefit from the extensive knowledge of the luthiers who have worked on high-end instruments from brands like Circle Strings, Froggy Bottom Guitars, and Fairbanks Guitars, offering exceptional value for money. These guitars feel like a faithful companion you've played for years, and sound truly fabulous.

The JB is Iris's interpretation of an OM-style guitar with a modern, original design. This extremely versatile guitar offers the clarity and balance you'd expect from a smaller-bodied instrument. However, thanks to its proportions, the JB produces a tone with exceptional power and volume. Its slim depth and narrow waist, combined with a 16-inch bass, provide a fundamental low-end response, a clean midrange, and rounded highs.

To enhance the authentic feel of these guitars from their heyday, Iris Guitars takes it a step further with a matte finish that gives the guitars a vintage feel. The natural finish is complemented by a tortoiseshell binding and pickguard. The back, sides, and neck of this guitar also feature a matte lacquer finish. And to top it all off, Iris now offers the option of having a more understated version of the signature logo placed on the headstock, thanks in part to our own Coen!

This Iris was built in 2024 and is in near-mint condition with only minimal playwear. The guitar plays and sounds wonderful, and comes with a TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.
