Furch S40 Cedar Mahogany 2007
The Furch S40 Cedar Mahogany 2007 is a warm and characterful Grand Auditorium that offers impressive tone and playability at an accessible price point. With its solid cedar top and mahogany body, this guitar delivers a mature, open sound that is especially inviting for fingerstyle and light strumming.
This example is in good condition and clearly shows that it has been played. There are multiple scratches and dings on the back of the neck and on the top, and the lower side of the sound hole shows quite heavy wear. The headstock is missing a small chip of wood, and the bridge saddle is currently quite low, meaning a neck reset will likely be needed in the future. All of this has been reflected in the price. Structurally and functionally, however, the guitar is fully operational and ready to be played.
Tonally, the cedar top offers warmth and quick response, while the mahogany body provides focus and midrange clarity. The 648 mm scale length, 44.8 mm nut width and comfortable C neck profile make it an easy and familiar player. Equipped with a piezo pickup, it is also ready for amplified use. A great sounding and honest instrument for players who are starting out or looking for a solid workhorse with character. Delivered in a gigbag with TFOA Passport.
