Flammang N55X Indian Rosewood Sitka Spruce 2014
This compact Flammang N55X from 2014 proves that big tone doesn't always need a big body! With its L0 size and premium combination of Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this hand-built guitar delivers a surprisingly full and detailed tone that's perfect for intimate playing sessions and studio recording.
Flammang Guitars is run by luthier David Flammang, who specializes in building high-quality acoustic guitars with a focus on traditional craftsmanship and premium tonewoods. The N55X model pays tribute to the compact Gibson L-shaped guitars of the early 20th century, when these compact guitars were popular in living rooms and small venues for their intimate character and excellent projection.
The secret of this N55X lies in the combination of a refined Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, supported by scalloped X-bracing for optimal resonance. Its compact size produces a focused, clear tone with beautiful midrange and surprisingly powerful bass for such a compact guitar! The guitar has 14 frets to the body for a greater range than the original 12-fret models.
Built in 2014, the guitar has accumulated some playwear on the top, back of the body, and neck over the years. Overall, the guitar is very clean and comes with a TFOA passport in an Calton hardshell case.
