Fernando Jaén Siracusa 16E+

Fernando A. Jaén is an independent luthier based in Cuenca, Spain, a beautiful city just southeast of Madrid.

Fernando Jaén builds both traditional guitars (mostly semi-hollow and hollowbody archtops) and unusual designs. Instruments in the latter category are his own extraordinary designs that he builds mainly for guitar shows. Fernando Jaén is not only an inspiring luthier and an artist, but also the electronics are completely self-developed and of a solitary high standard.

The acoustics of his guitars are overwhelming, the refinement and finesse of his designs unique, and the playability and light weight make these archtop guitars the best we know. The 16-inch wide body is made of beautiful zebrawood for the back and sides, and a spruce top with a unique and graceful sound hole that runs along the waist of the bass side. The comfortable C-shaped neck is made of flamed maple with a 25.5" scale, ebony fingerboard and Schertler tuners inlaid in the headstock.

The guitar is equipped with an enormously versatile arsenal of sounds, with the volume adjustable for each of the three switch positions. The humbuckers can also be used as single coils, and of course the tone can also be adjusted. Every detail is handmade perfection and the sound of this guitar is simply overwhelming. Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
