Fender Custom Shop Michael Landau Stratocaster Fiesta Red Over Sunburst Relic 2015
Michael Landau is a globally renowned session guitarist who has appeared on hundreds of albums since the early 1980s, working with artists such as Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Seal, James Taylor, B.B. King, Pink Floyd, and Miles Davis.
In addition to his session work, he has also led bands such as Burning Water, Raging Honkies, and Renegade Creation with Robben Ford. With his own group, he continues to push boundaries in the world of electric jazz, instrumental music, and rock guitar.
The Fender Custom Shop Artist Collection Michael Landau Signature 1963 Relic Stratocaster is based on his beloved ’63 Strat and is full of thoughtful details. The body is made of lightweight alder, finished in Relic Fiesta Red over Three-Color Sunburst nitro lacquer. The neck features a robust D-shaped neck profile and is equipped with a rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius, providing a fine vintage feel with modern playability.
The guitar is equipped with three single-coil pickups, a five-position switch, a vintage-style tremolo, and a period-correct small headstock. The first tone potentiometer controls the neck and middle pickups, while the second affects the bridge pickup.
This guitar dates from 2015 and is in excellent condition. With relic finishes, it is often difficult to distinguish between factory aging and signs of wear, but this guitar is remarkably clean and well-maintained. Comes with a TFOA passport in a case.
